Leading off the 2008-2009 Sociology lecture series, Professor Daniel Chirot presents:
Ending Genocide: Reality Confronts Wishful Thinking
Explaining the main causes of mass, politically inspired murder, what has been done to mitigate violent political conflict in the past, and what can be done now. Why activism on genocide, for example in Darfur, rather misses the point and has been largely ineffective.
