Michele has worked for the department since December 1996 in a full time, 12-month appointment. She is the business manager and senior administrative support for the Department of Sociology. Michele has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh. Her previous work has included several positions with the National Academy of Science/National Research Council (NAS/NRC), including Division Administrator for the Commission on Behavioral and Social Sciences, Committee on National Statistics. During her tenure at NAS/NRC she received two staff awards as well as a nomination for the distinguished staff award. Michele is originally from the east coast. She races bicycles and enjoys hiking, reading, making jewelry, spending with her husband and their dog and cats and with friends, and "rehabbing" her circa 1906 house.

Susanna began working in the Sociology department in 1990, first as a Graduate Program Assistant and later as an Academic Counselor. She has a full time appointment during the academic year; in the summers she works half time. As an Academic Counselor she works closely with the department’s undergraduate majors, and also advises students who wish to become sociology majors. Susanna has a Bachelor of Arts equivalent in English and Swedish from the University of Linkoping in Sweden, and an M.A. in Scandinavian Languages & Literature from the University of Washington. |

Kevin came to the department in 1993 as a graduate student, and despite several attempts, has never left. He completed his Ph.D. in 2000 under the supervision of Professor Gary Hamilton and continued to teach a variety of courses in the department, ranging from methods to social psychology. He joined the advising office in 2003. |

Michael first started working for the department in September 1997. He provides full-time support to Sociology, Economics and Philosophy. His main job duties include network administation, web site design and administration, general tech support, database development, lab administration, and long-range planning. Michael has a Bachelor of Arts in English from Rutgers University. Before coming to the Department of Sociology, Michael was the Information Systems Coordinator for the Henry Art Gallery. Michael grew up in Virginia, where much of his family still lives. He tries to keep away from the computer at home, and instead plays with his dog, Sadie. |
