The Seminar in Institutional Analysis and the Center for West European Studies are proud to welcome Monica Prasad (Sociology, Northwestern) to the University of Washington this Friday, December 5th, at 1:30 PM in Condon 311. She is currently researching the sociology of taxation and has previously published on topics such as the welfare state, neo-liberalism in Europe and the US, and state regulation of markets. She also won the prestigious Barrington Moore award for the best book in political sociology in 2007 for her work entitled "The Politics of Free Markets
